New Moon Ritual:

Step 1: Preparation

Gather: Place all your items (candle, journal, pen, crystals, etc.) in front of you.

Cleanse: Tidy your physical space. Then, light your incense or sage and gently wave the smoke around your body and the room, setting the intention to clear away any stagnant or negative energy.

Ground: Sit comfortably. Close your eyes. Take three deep, slow breaths. Release the day's stress with each exhale. Visualize roots growing from the base of your spine down into the center of the Earth, connecting and grounding you.

Step 2: Reflection & Release

Acknowledge the Past: Before you can plant new seeds, you must clear the old soil. In your journal, answer these questions:

What am I ready to release from the previous cycle?

What is no longer serving my highest good?

Release: Visualize these things as dark smoke leaving your body with each exhale. You can say aloud: "I now release all that does not serve me. I let it go with love and make space for the new."You can even tear this page out and safely burn it in a fireproof dish (be very careful!) or shred it as a symbolic act of release.

Step 3: Setting Intentions

Light Your Candle: As you strike the match, say: "I call in light and new beginnings."

Connect to Your Heart: Place your hands on your heart. Ask yourself:

What do I truly desire to manifest in my life?

What seeds do I wish to plant now?

Write Your Intentions: Turn to a new page in your journal. Write your intentions as if they are already happening. Use present, positive language.

Instead of:

"I want to stop being stressed."

Write:

"I am calm, centered, and handle challenges with ease."

Instead of:

"I want more money."

Write:

"I am a magnet for abundant and prosperous opportunities."

Be specific, but also open. You can write 3-5 core intentions for this cycle.

Step 4: Visualization & Embodying

Close your eyes again. Hold your written intentions in your mind.

Visualize: Imagine it is six months from now. Your intentions have fully blossomed. What do you see?(Your environment, yourself). What do you hear? (Compliments, the sounds of your new life). Most importantly, how do you FEEL? (Proud, joyful, peaceful, powerful?). Sit with this feeling for a few minutes. Let it fill every cell in your body. This feeling is the fuel for your intentions.

Step 5: Gratitude & Closing:

Give Thanks: Hold your hands over your journal. Express gratitude to the Universe, Source, your higher self—whatever resonates with you—for hearing your intentions and for the manifestations already on their way.

Affirmation: Say aloud: "I release these intentions to the Universe, trusting they are already on their way to me for the highest good of all. And so it is."

Extinguish the Candle: You can let it burn down safely, or you can put it out with the intention of relighting it later to reconnect with this energy. Snuff it out; don't blow it out (as breath is your spirit and you don't want to "blow away" the intention).

Step 6: Integration

Place your written intentions somewhere you will see them regularly (on your altar, bedside table, inside your wardrobe door).

Take one small, actionable step within the next 24 hours towards one of your intentions. The Universe meets movement. If your intention is about health, maybe that step is a 10-minute walk. If it's about creativity, it's spending 15 minutes sketching. This shows you are co-creating with the universe.

Trust and Let Go. Don't obsess over the "how." Trust that the Universe will conspire to help you in ways you can't yet imagine.

Remember, this is your practice. Make it beautiful, make it personal, and most importantly, make it yours.
